This is Toblerone (Toby for short), my mother-in-law's new dog. She got him yesterday and he is the sweetest chocolate lab. He already has a favorite toy. He loves his duck!

The Tide Changes

We just came from a fund raiser for the new Mayor of Canton. We have succeeded in fighting city hall and getting a candidate from the Historic Canton Homeowners Association into office. Election day is Nov 6, but he is running unopposed. So we are now...

Baby Shower

We had the "family" baby shower for Jill and baby last Sunday. We had a "high tea" with egg salad and watercress sandwiches, tomato and cucumber sandwiches, shortbread (made by Georgean) cupcakes, and 3 kinds of teas. It was fun to use all the different china cups that I had from my mother and grandma. Debby brought some of hers also. I had a theme of frogs. So this grandma to be went crazy. Frog booties, frog rattles, frog lights, frog book, etc.

Check out the baby diaper cake. Debby and I made it. It was so cute!!!

We're Back

We made it safely back from Asia. What a trip. If you are interested, you can read all about it by clicking on the link to your right. We returned home to a dead modem. I think the new one will be up and running tonight so I can post from home once again. We need a musical interlude, I think.

Pregnant Bobsledding

Tim and I are in Whistler, Canada taking our "babymoon" - our last vacation before the baby. I thought the family would enjoy this picture of a 2010 Olympic bobsled. Whistler will host the Alpine & Nordic skiing events, along with bobskeigh, luge and skeleton sliding events. We should plan a family reunion for the 2010 Olympics in Whistler.
