LA Friday NIght
In keeping with our usual Friday night routine, we had Mexican food. We went to the Spanish Kitchen. It wasn't all that great. Here is Bill with his "bowl" of Margaritas.

Full Circle
Dad, Elsie and I arrived safely back in Aiken early this afternoon. They had a good time, but I think 25 days was too long. They don't want to go on cruises that last longer than 14 days now. Anyway, we had lunch at O'Charleys. We started the whole adventure at O'Charleys. Habits are hard to to break. Here they are. A little tired, but home.

Dad and Elsie Back in Atlanta
Dad and Elsie arrived safely back in Atlanta today. They are staying out at an airport hotel. I will go and pick them up tomorrow morning and take them to Aiken. It's just easier all around and less driving if they stay at the airport. Those who have been on the drive to our house from airport will realize that that makes the most sense. I am not leaving my poor 82 year old father out at the airport to fend for himself. Son guilt I guess.
When I talked to him tonight they were sitting in the bar having margarita's and beer. I assume Elsie was drinking the margarita and dad the beer. That eased the guilt a little.
Friday we leave for L.A. for a long weekend. We are going to see a friend of Bill's one woman show. I am sorry that we won't be able to see Effie, but it's fly their Friday and come back Monday and it's all about the show. Perhaps more guilt. Who knows? It was therapy night so it all just bubbles up.
I'll blog from LA.
Here's a little Michael to soothe the soul.

Ed Christian's Birthday
March 24th is the anniversary of "Grandpa Ed's" birthday. I think he was born in 1901. I don't have a picture of him on my machine at work. Anyone have a digital one?

Ambient jazz - nighty nighy
I have always liked this group - Tortoise. It's nice background music. Perhaps, it's an acquired taste.

In Treatment and The Riches
Shocker on In Treatment last night. I won't spoil it. Only three episodes left. Will air next week. I hope and am confident there will be another season.
The Riches start tonight. It's great television.

Weather Porn!
Here are a few video clips I did of the local weather coverage of tornadic activity in and around Canton on Saturday. The technology was actually very amazing, and we hated running to the basement when the tornado sirens blared because we didn't want to miss it on TV! Not every day you get a baker's dozen of "descending reflectivity cores"! What a day...

The Sky Has Lost Control
We survived the storms last night and this morning. There are quite a few high rises in downtown Atlanta that have been damaged. It's pretty wild. There were more storms this morning and another round is headed for us this evening.

It's Movie Clip Time
My favorite movie of all time. I don't know how many times I have seen it. I do know the most memorable time I viewed it was when we were in Istanbul at the Four Seasons (a renovated prison) The best hotel experience ever. It was late in the evening, Bill was suffering from a 103 degree fever, we could hear the Muslim call to prayer and CNN International was reporting the disappearance of John Kennedy Jr.'s plane. All of the sudden I flipped the channel and there was Casablanca.
We'll always have Istanbul!

Does anyone see a family resemblance?

Happy Birthday Tonya
Our snow flurries today (yes, snow in Georgia on March 8th) made me thing of Tonya, and her love for cold weather.

Shakespeare Quote
Okay, bloggers. What's your favorite Shakespeare quote?
Mine is from Hamlet:
Player Queen:
Both here and hence pursue me lasting strife,
If once I be a widow, ever I be a wife!
Player King:
'Tis deeply sworn. Sweet, leave me here a while,
My spirits grow dull, and fain I would beguile
The tedious day with sleep.
Player Queen:
Sleep rock thy brain,
And never come mischance between us twain!
Hamlet:
Madam, how like you this play?
Queen:
The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

This Election Makes Me Nervous
Texas and Ohio still to close to call.
I just have to say that McCain is a tad boring. It's just the truth.
As someone said, it's the youtube vs. feeding tube election!
