Summers Gone By
One of our friends works at the Cherokee Historical Society. Recently, she was archiving some old photos and found this article and photos of our pool and the old pool house that used to be out back. We have heard about the pool house that use to be there and found the old concrete deck when we began the renovation, but these are the first photos and information from Old Doc Johnston and his wife, Maxine. They sound like quite the stylish couple. We closed the pool for the season last week. Here's to another summer gone by...

Thought for the Day
There are only 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary, and those who don't.

We have met a couple new friends in Canton Jeff and Cory. They are great guys and very funny. Next time any of you are in town, you will meet them. Canton is becoming quite urban!

Gates & Seinfeld
What do you think about the new Microsoft ad campaign? Those of you who actually work for Microsoft you can remain annonomous. Rumor is that this ad was filmed in Ballard sort of close to our house.

Fact Check!
Don't worry Tonya, this is not a political post! LOL
Here is the official list of songs that spent the most weeks at number one on the charts for the past 50 years! Thank goodness ON-J beats Debbie Boone - even if only by one spot! Funny they both ranked higher than the Beatles! Enjoy!

A Reminder
Now, you'll probably all think I've lost it, but oh well, maybe I have.
I just wanted to offer a gentle reminder that this is a "family" oriented blog and we weren't going to get too political.
Let's start a conversation about "what we did on our summer vaction"....And I promise not to start with "I volunteered for the Obama '08 campaign"

Pundit Power
My prediction is that Palin will not remain on the GOP ticket.
The video below is interesting. It was recorded Friday morning prior to the announcement of Palin as VP. I don't plan on being very political on this blog, but I can't resist showing what the right wing pundits really think. If you have a different opinion, feel free to weight in.
