Air Conditioning Seattle Style

Thermometer is resting on Brian's toolbox in the shop. Kind of hard to work in that heat. Brandon of course left early to go boating.

Brian brought home another a/c unit to cool down the kitchen. We had to take the window out. This is a twin to the one in our bedroom. Considering the temperature in the house was 91 it is well worth it eventhough it doesn't fit my decor. We are a bunch of whiners up here for sure. Forcast is more of the same tomorrow.

Hot time in the City

I am sitting in my shop in Duvall where outside temp is 102. Inside feels like an ice cave at 85! Believe it or not women have been coming in looking for sundresses. Mine are about sold out...just a few sizes left. Guess that is part of retailing... I've ordered more in because we still have a month of summer. I love orchids

I love orchids and thought I only had a 1/2 dozen in my kitchen window but I actually have 1 dozen. I want one this color, I wish I knew the name does anyone have any guesses?

A big thanks for all the birthday greetings. I got the new iphone as a present from Bill. My old one didn't take video. This one does. Other cool features too. Expect some video on the blog now. We went to a great new restaurant, Abattoir, for dinner. I had trout. I have to say it was the best tasting trout I have ever had.
