New Music Discovery

I saw Melody Gardot on CBS Sunday Morning today. I had not heard of her before, and she is amazing! Apparently, she was in a very serious car accident a few years ago and had spinal and brain damage. She was not expected to even be able to communicate, but a doctor suggested she start writing and singing as therapy. She still wears dark glasses because she is so sensitive to light. She is very original. What do you think?

Anniversary

Ted Wilson (Dad) would have been 84 today. He's been on my mind a lot lately. I think that happens around significant days in someone's life. I also just moved another batch of wax to make more candles. The stuff is heavy.

Last night's snow

It is cold here. The local news is showing pictures of cars sliding all over the roads. Brenda Woods, local newscaster, just said, "your feelings might get hurt if you wreck your car". It is kind of icy in spots. It's supposed to be 15 degrees tonight.

Good Morning from Los Osos

Happy New Year - Day 3

We had a good day yesterday with Tonya and Bob. We saw two movies, A Single Man and Up in the Air. Both movies are definitely worth seeing.

A Single Man is a beautifully filmed and the acting is impeccable. However, it is not light entertainment.

Up in the Air, from the director of Juno is funny and disturbing. George Clooney is great.

We ended the day with Thai food and Annie's Thai Castle.
