No Title
It's been almost a week since a blog post. Thanks to Hans for the last post.
I saw The Green Lanter in 3D last night. I would give it 3.5 out of 5. It was fun to see in 3D.
Awhile ago I posted a photo of the large hole where the Capitol Hill train station is being built. Here is what it look likes now. You can see the tunnel boring machine.

Sometimes a seering truth
The greatest hazard of all, losing one’s self, can occur very quietly in the world, as if it were nothing at all. No other loss can occur so quietly...

Day 1
So some of you know that a couple of weeks ago I completed my first and only running race, a half marathon in Boise ID. My friend Kate, included in the picture above convinced me to join her in this race and we have registered to run the Portland marathon together on October 9th. My best friend / roommate Ryan has also signed up for the race, and is on a similar training schedule.
This brings me to Day 1 – of an 18 week training program that will have me running 439 miles between now and October. The week started with a bit of cross training, today is a rest day (I’m going to do yoga), and the running begins tomorrow with a modest 3 miles.
I am excited about this new project. I’m hoping with good training and dedication I can check this bucket item off the list 1 week shy of my 29th birthday.
I have ordered a good picture of me in the final stretch of the Boise half marathon which I will post when it arrives. My goal was to finish in 2:30:00 minutes and I crossed the finish line in 2:07:56.
Expect updates and complaints about sore muscles along the way.
Love to all – and Tonya – I promise to call you back this week.
