Why do somethings exist?

I really dislike ivy. Boston ivy excepted. It should not be sold in gardening centers. People should not plant it. This is what it does. Bugs the crap out of me.

I know, it's so annoying. It's on that light pole in front of our house and it takes over.

Oh, I like curly ivy, but of course, I never plant it outside. But, we could ask the same question about mosquitos...what else?
