I went over to Vashon on July 1st to help my dear friends Shafel and Shelley burn their 2 and 1/2 year old brush pile. We decided Friday night that the Christmas tree that was in the pile should be burned to purge the past. When I visit them, we play a lot of pinochle and a dice game named Farkle. Whoever wins a game gets a star! One thing led to another and we decided to make a star for the top of the tree and burn it. Shafel, quite the artist, made the star out of a paper towel roll and egg carton.
This was the result.

Wouldn't want that going up in flame in your home! It was fun to hear your voice, Jim. Your friend is quite an artist! That star was elegant!
I know. It could be a Christmas Tree safety film. It was amazing and kind of scary.
That just makes me think of Theone. She would have loved the star craft made from recycled materials and we both would have enjoyed the fire!
That is quite the fire!! And now we know....the REST of the story ;)
We are definately a family of pyromanics!!
