The new timber bamboo shoots are finally up. The first sprout to come up this year came through the asphalt in the driveway. Quite a testament to life.

There is a show on, I think Discovery, about what happens when people are gone. Mother Nature just takes over, everything man-made disappears. Kind of makes one realize how insignificant we really are in the big scope.
I have seen that show. The real scary part is the chemical and nuclear plants that explode or melt down.
