Happy Birthday Mom

Mom would have been 82 today. She is on my mind. I was up early today. I guess I am following in her footsteps.

7 degrees this morning in Fargo

Well, folks, it is official -- even I am tired of winter. It is 7 degrees here this morning as I try to get up the gumption to walk Cocoa. The snowbank is still grazing the mailbox, and, as must as we REALLY WANT a slow melt, I'm also torn by wanting some warm sunshine, grass and maybe a few flowers. That is why I'm running off to CA for a few days.

Why do somethings exist?

I really dislike ivy. Boston ivy excepted. It should not be sold in gardening centers. People should not plant it. This is what it does. Bugs the crap out of me.

Voting is open - Toughest Weather - Fargo vs. International Falls

I've was torn as to how to vote but finally made my decision and, as I was raised, I won't reveal my vote, but since most of the readers of this blog have spent at least some time in both places, I thought each of you should be sure to cast your vote as well.

Vote early -- and often!!

Movie Review

I saw The Adjustment Bureau last night. I wanted it to be good. Matt Damon is one of my favorites. Thrillers are also high on my list. Well, wait for it on Netflix. While the premise is interesting it devolves into a typical Hollywood feel good love story. Not that there is anything wrong with that. It's just that I wanted so much more. I give it *** out of five. It would get two, but Matt Damon is in it.

I guess it's about Free Will. It's probably closer to Free Willy. Although I never saw Free Willy.

A New Chapter from an Old Book

Last Monday I accepted a position with Bookey Consulting as Chief of Staff. Linda Bookey, the CEO, and I worked together at GNA 25 years ago. I am extremely excited about the opportunity. The big software company in Redmond is our main customer. Although, she hired me so that she can concentrate on growing the business.

I have been doing a happy dance all week.

Thanks to all of you who have kept me sane during the last year. Well, as sane as I ever get.

The best new is that Spring is on the way.

Mystery abounds

The last week has been a sad week for me for some reason. I've felt very lonely and struggled quite a lot. Last night was probably the worst. Tonight, upon returning from a walk with Cocoa Bob called me up from the basement because he thought I needed to look at our front porch. It just never cease to amaze and comfort me.
