4th of July

Aboard the flight deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln (lincoln.navy.mil) at Everett Homeport. Abe has just spent 9 months in drydock preparing for its next deployment. This thing is huge. Nimitz-class aircraft carrier. We road the aircraft elevator to flight deck. Now that is one fast elevator!
Not much to see on deck but 1092 feet of concrete. Oh, and the beautiful view of the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges. It was a sunny and hot July 4.

A rare great weather 4th of July. I can remember many fireworks when we had to have coats on to keep warm.

No place like Seattle when the weather is nice!
