Happy Birthday Grandma
This one's for you, Grandma. Today is the anniversary of Dorothy Curtis Wilson Larson's birthday. I think of her often, especially her love of her garden. Her new potatoes and peas were divine. Also, she stubbornly refused to let anyone else mow her lawn. I hear ya Grandma!
My garden project this year has been to start a butterfly garden. Of course, it will be a multi-year project. However, there are already results. This one was particularly interesting. I was able to get within inches of it.
Yesterday, I was lying in the sun and a dragon fly landed on my hand and stayed there for a minute or so. I wish only the non-biting insects would land on me. The mosquitoes are horrible this year.
Oh, and we have found three (3) snake skins. The part left after they molt. Fascinating.
Have a good week. It's finally hot here. The 90's all week. Yeah!

Beautiful, Jim!
Dorothy was the best! I always enjoyed her visits to Georgia. She always likes a single ice cube in her white wine. She also told the best stories. She shares a birthday with my late father, so that makes her even more special.
Well, we're only going to be in the 80's the rest of the week. Darn. I was enjoying the heat. I finally wanted to use the AC in my car.
