Translation: Heal us, Adonai, and we shall be healed; save us, and we will be saved, for the one we praise is You. Bring complete healing for all our sicknesses, for O God, for You are our faithful and compassionate Healer and King. Blessed are you, Lord, the Healer of the sick of Israel.
So, everyone at Beth David wishes Theone a complete and total healing.
This is a great post! To quote Theone as she listened to the song "I can just see him walking around". And at the end she says "And then jump in the fire".
Rick, thank you for adding Theone to the Refuah prayer list! And thank you for sharing the prayer and what it means. We really appreciate that and the prayers of the Beth David community!
Bill, so far...no gum in the toilet...but I'll watch her closely.

Get well Theone, and have fun at Lodge Omdahl! Just don't spit your gum in their toliet!
Jim, I remember you dancing around Ohanapecosh (had to look up that spelling) singing that song! We're those great times?
Indeed, those were great times. Seems a lot simpler then.
Tonight at our Erev Shabbat service, we added Theone to the Refuah prayer list. The prayer asks for "refuah sh'lemah" complete and total healing.
Refuah is one of the 19 blessings in the amidah or the "standing prayer."
For the more curious, it reads as such:
רפאנו יהוה ונרפא הושיענו ונושעה כי תהלתנו אתה והעלה שלמה לכל מכותינו כי אל מלך רופא נאמן ורחמן אתה ברוך אתה יהוה רופא חולי עמו ישראל
Refa'einu [adonai] venerafe' hoshi'enu venivashe'ah ki tehilatenu 'attah veha'aleh refu'ah shelemah lekhol makoteinu ki 'el melekh rofei ne'eman verchaman 'attah barukh 'attah [adonai' rofe' cholei 'ammo Yisra'el.
