Johnston-Grant-Wilson Home
Built circa 1900, this house was originally home to Canton's first dentist, "Old Doc Johnston." Later in the 1950s, and addition was added to the home and then, in 2003, Bill Grant and Jim Wilson completed a renovation, which returned the home to its original grandeur. The owners put in numerous hours making sure that architectural features, like windows, columns, and siding were matched to the original structure. They also kept the footprint of the building essentially the same, only adding a kitchen and porch. The gunite pool was meticulously restored and the landscaping done to preserve indigenous vegetation and a century old bamboo planting.

That is so exciting!!!! I wish I could have Jim's landscaping talents. My yard needs some major help. I hope I can someday come out and see the house in real life.

We're not sure where we are going to put the plaque. We were looking at that yesterday. It will probably go to the left of the front porch.
Congratulations guys! You deserve it. It is indeed a beautiful home. I HAVE to visit when the pool is open. One question: did you get bonus points for the ghosts?
No bonus points for ghosts. We would have had quite a few though.
