Grrr....Gophers!

Gophers are invading my front yard! Not only are there holes and mounds, but they stole my flowers. Does anyone have any good ideas on how to ask them to move somewhere else? I'm trying to avoid poison because of our dogs and all the neighborhood pets, but I need to take action. Many of you are gardening pros, so I'm hoping for some words of wisdom. Help me reclaim my yard!! :)

Try this.

Gardeners Supply - gardeners.com also has a gopher and mole repellent product.

I have more problem with deer. I have used deer-away and invisible fence. They do seem to work as long as I stay on top of it. They also have a small animal product.

I did have something digging at the roses I planted. I finally figured out that the fish fertilizer I was using was attracting the animal.

You could try a Badger or a Sioux to "beat" your Gophers....HA! I crack me up.

I LOVE Gardners Supply. And my guess is the gopher repellent will be quite good. I'll ask Grandma if she has any "old wives tale voodoo".

You should call Al and have him come down and trap them. He LOVES trapping moles. He keeps a log of when and how many he's trapped. He even has a stuffed mole. He's a quirky fella.

Moles are really ugly. I have never seen his stuffed mole. I think I am glad about that.

Stuffed mole? You are kidding right? Al is quite the trapper...that would be very interesting.
